James is also a licensed psychological examiner and initially worked as a mental health practitioner. Now as s a sole legal practitioner, attorney Ammel is aided on all cases by his wife and legal assistant Linda, who is also a trained counselor.
Linda Keener Ammel is a native Arkansas (former resident of North Little Rock and Russellville) who takes pride and pleasure in being an advocate for individuals who have developed significant limitations from health conditions that are preventing them from working consistently. Due to her educational, training and work experiences, she is particularly able to put our clients at ease and, taking as much time as necessary, to draw out of them the important details of their situations in order to best describe why they should be found to be disabled by Social Security.
Her Arkansas father was a decorated WWII veteran who subsequently worked for the Veterans Administration Hospital as a barber and later as a psychiatric technician. Her Arkansas mother was disabled, herself, from a childhood injury but who worked in various occupations until having to stop due to her multiple health problems.
Linda has previously pursued occupations that involved helping others such as working for physicians, mental health centers, and serving as a teach and later as a school counselor. She graduated with significant honors from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a B.S.E. in education and an M.Ed. in Educational Counseling.
